The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to counselling, what you’d like to gain, and how I work. There’s no pressure to share everything straight away it’s about building comfort and trust.
-
Sessions usually last 50 minutes. This gives us enough time to explore what’s on your mind while keeping the space focused and manageable.
-
Most people find it helpful to meet weekly at the same time, especially at the start. We can always review this together and adjust as your needs change.
-
There’s no set number it depends on your goals and what feels right for you. Some people come for a few sessions to work on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll regularly check in and decide together.
-
Yes, everything you share is treated with strict confidentiality. The only exceptions are if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, in which case I have a duty of care to act. I will always aim to talk this through with you first.
-
Yes. I offer both online sessions via secure video call and in-person sessions (if applicable to your practice). You can choose whichever feels most comfortable for you and it’s £55 per session
-
That’s completely normal. You don’t need to plan or prepare. Sometimes we start with what’s on your mind in the moment, and other times we explore feelings or patterns together. There’s no “right” way to do counselling.
